A cutting edge musical talentMC by Kara DioGuardi Chris Martinez, from KISS-FM welcomed the crowd and introduced the opening act, Auburn and her dancers, to the stage. She performed several songs and her most popular original song, “La La La.” The crowd ate it up. She is hot and so are her dancers. The energy and excitement they brought was incredible. The crowd loved their sounds and moves. They had the look and the talent to please. Martinez introduced the MC for Derulo, songwriter, record producer and singer Kara DioGuardi. She gave an energy-packed introduction to the night’s headliner, Derulo. Ear-splitting screams followed. I almost couldn’t hear the opening song over the frenzied pitch. Everyone rushed the stage to get closer to and dance along with Derulo’s tunes and his dancers. Derulo had the sounds and the moves! He even ripped off his tee shirt and tossed it into the riotously excited audience. DioGuardi came back on to the stage and sang her song, “Summer,” and in the second half, she sang a duet with Derulo that blew everyone away. During his performance of “Ridin’ Solo,” the smash hit and title song of his album, Derulo invited an adoring fan, Stephanie, up on the stage. As he sang to her, she shrieked with delight. She even had a brief dance with Derulo while he finished the song. Derulo followed that whole scene with some more of his hits,” Love Hangover” and “In My Head,” and then he amped it up even HOTTER with a blazing-hot cover of Justin Timberlake’s “I’m Bringin’ Sexy Back” that drove the crowd’s fever to a spike.Grover and Eric along with “Big Al” said the performance was “some pretty good entertainment.” Grover’s favorite song was “Ridin’ Solo.” The excitement was palpable. What a great evening of fun and fantastic cutting edge talent. Everyone wanted more. For more Cathy Jardine photos of Jason Derulo, click here.
