The Tastiest Indian Food in the Coachella Valley
One of our very favorite restaurants is the Delhi Palace, Cuisine of India in Palm Springs, California. Dining at Delhi Palace is like taking a trip to India and eating at one of the best Indian restaurants in New Delhi, the capital of India. The Delhi Palace offers a delightful and tasty assortment of foods that tempt your olfactory and gustatory senses, using a broad array of seasonings and spices from the many regions of India.
![]() Owned by Ravi Singh, the Delhi Palace, has been serving Palm Springs in the same location since 1989. Executive Chief Sumit Chowdhary, sports a Culinary Arts Degree and worked as Chef and then Executive Chef at the Marriott Taj Hotel in New Delhi, India. Together, Ravi and Sumit, create an extraordinary team with more than 30 years of cooking experience and 12 years of restaurant management experience. "Upon taking over the Delhi Palace Cuisine of India," says Ravi, AI entirely refurbished the restaurant, I created a modern first class bar, brought in many new wine selections and the best of both Indian and U.S. beers. Even with our entirely new look, Ravi continues, "the Delhi Palace continues to serve the finest quality Indian food in the Coachella Valley." Born in India, Ravi, loves and understands good Indian food and the proper balance of aromatic seasonings and herbs. He wanted to be in the restaurant business so it was a natural for him to make his dream come true. When asked why he ultimately bought Delhi Place during this waning economy Ravi answered, "There is never a bad time to do what you really want. We just have to work a little harder to be successful. I will keep my doors open and we will be successful!" Also featured at The Delhi Palace are a number of Chef’s Specialties such as: Murg Makhani (Tandoori chicken cooked in butter), Vegetable Korma, Fish Tikka Masala, Prawn Masala, Lamb Pasanda Nawabi and Tandoori Shrimp. If you like Mulligatawny you will love the Delhi Palace’s delicate yet savory Mulligatawny soup. They have appetizers to whet your appetite and luscious deserts to treat you palate after a great meal. To maintain authenticity Ravi imports real Basmati rice from India. A trip to Delhi Palace will surely be the first of many for aficionados of an exotic and delightful dining experience. While reservations are generally not needed, it is smart to call ahead for parties larger than 4 people. All major credit cards are accepted.
